Life Notes.
About Chiguru farms: The farm has a wide variety of fruit trees, medicinal herbs, millets and lentil crops. Desi cows are at the heart of the farm with a well maintained Gowshala to preserve indigenous cattle breeds like Hallikar, Devani, Malnad Gidda and Gir.
Food is authentic rural Karnataka cuisine and veg-only. Most of the ingredients used in cooking are home grown and organic, specially dals, millets, coconuts, milk, fruits and some vegetables.
We have a guided farm tour where guests can pick and taste the seasonal fruits and play with the farm animals like cows & calves, sheep, hens and roosters. During free time you can play unique rural games like lagori, buguri, chowkabara, and many more.
Farm is lovely for walks in and around. There is a nice trek one can do - towards Bilikal Forest with a Veera Kallu (Hero stone) on the way which is from around the 10th century.
